Commercial Video

You may think your potential clients know all about who you are and what you do. Not. This piece, at less than 2 minutes, very quickly and clearly establishes important points of difference for Townsend Bay Marine … including why they're the best choice –in some cases the only choice – for some really heavy lifting. What about you?

On an assignment for San Francisco’s Turn Here Video Productions, we recently had an opportunity to tour and tape the fabulous Clam Cannery Hotel in Port Townsend. The combination of standard definition video and hi-def frame shape, integrated with still-image work by Billie Judy (some also by the Cannery) makes an elegant but manageable file size for the Internet. Yes, the Clam Cannery Hotel is as lovely as it looks.

The Cove House, Shaw Island. We produced this video for a beautiful $2.5 M property in Washington State's scenic San Juan Islands. The house had been on the market for two or three years. The finished piece combines our footage with some really nice professional photos, our custom music and in-house narration. The property sold in about four months.

This is an older piece for Timbercraft Homes, top-end maker of timber frame structures. I've always liked the activity, the motion in this. If what you do moves, it's a point of difference and people are interested. And within an interest area, more than half the people who receive a video or link will forward it. Yes, free advertising!

A cutting-edge aluminum guitar, very similar in construction to an airplane wing, deserves cutting-edge video from Reel Life. This one, without voice-over, is intended for trade-show display. At this writing, our several Normandy Guitar videos have toted up nearly 8,000 YouTube views, literally from around the world. Even if you don’t want to drive a forklift over your product or service, a Reel Life video gets you noticed!

Dick Foley, Northwest television personality and original member of the ‘60s folk group, the Brothers Four, headlined several series of Reel Life-produced TV spots for Kitsap Credit Union, Bremerton, Washington. While relatively low-end “cable” spots, both the Kitsap Credit and the Clearwater Casino clips are proof that a good idea, solid writing and the right talent, can produce TV ad material that invites the viewer to watch, and to respond.
